Everybody has different taste and choices. So why be same home screen for everybody. It's no new that Android supports third-party launchers to be used in place of stock one, but most of these launchers are pretty basic, useless and laggy. out of all these launchers the one which truly stands out is my favorite Nova launcher.
here is my setup of it.
I like dark theme every where, stock Android like experience,android pie like icons , my search bar at bottom of home screen and search apps in app drawer, fast animations and app opening time and more shortcuts (like long press on icon to get more options)
and gestures, Nova provides me all.

Deskrtop Grid let's you change the desktop grid like how many rows and columns of icons you want in your page.it is great for customising size of icons according to you preference it also let's you place icons off-grid also.
icon layout lets you individually cutomise icons
from size to font color customise everything.
search bar style let's you pick search bar of your choice
and good thing about this is it let's you search through your native search provided by your OS (In my case COLOROS)you can search though your apps, messages and data provided by many apps and web search also.
also let's you choose animations, customise app drawer and dock also
it also supports gestures to be customised by you according to preference and notification badges as well. What more do you want? Say like undo option on removing home screen icons like Android Q, you got that!

NOVA lanucher is very Fast so you can go long on.
don't worry about losing your settings when switching phones or reinstalling, it also let's you to backup your settings and import them later.
